Chicken Crunchies

2-21/2 oz jars or chicken baby food 1 c. powdered milk 2/3 c. wheat germ

Mix dry ingrededients. Add baby food. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-14 min at 350*. May substitute beef or turkey for chicken.

Love Biscuits

3/4 c. hot water 1/3c. margarine 1/2c. powdered milk 1/4tsp. garlic powder 1 egg, beaten 3c. whole wheat flour 1Tbsp molasses

Pour hot water over margarine in a large bowl. Stir until melted, then stir in milk, garlic powder, molasses and egg. Stir flour in gradually. Knead until dough is a firm consistency to roll out. Roll out to 1/4 to 1/2" thick , use cutters and place on an ungreased cookie sheet close together. Bake at 350* until golden brown. (about 20 to 30 min.)

Cheesy Nuggets

1c uncooked oatmeal, 1 1/2c hot water or Meat juices, 1c grated cheese, 1 beaten egg, 1c wheat germ, 1/4c margarine, 1/2c powdered milk, 1/4tb salt, 1c corn meal, 3c whole wheat flour

In large bowl pour water over oatmeal and margarine;let stand for 5min. Stir in milk,cheese,salt and egg. Add corn meal and wheat germ. Mix well. Add flour a little at a time and mix. Knead 3-4 min adding more flour if needed to make a stiff dough. Roll out 1/2inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on greased baking sheets. Bake 1 hour at 300degrees. Turn off heat and leave in oven 1 1/2hours or longer.

Fido's Favorite

1c uncooked oatmeal, 1tb bouillon granules, 3/4c powdered milk, 1 beaten egg, 1/3c margarine, 1 1/2c hot water, 3/4c cornmeal, 3c whole wheat flour

In large bowl pour hot water over oatmeal, margarine,and bouillon; let stand for 5 min. Stir in milk, cornmeal and egg. Add flour a little at a time mixing well in between. Knead 3-4 min adding more flour if needed to make a very stiff dough. Pat or roll 1/2inch thick. Cut into shapes. place on greased cooking sheets and bake 50min at 325 degrees. Allow to cool and dry out until hard.

Doggy Beefy Cookies

2c. water, 4 beef Boullion cubes, 4c. whole wheat flour, 3/4c. oatmeal, 4 Tbsp shortening

Boil water, dissolve boullion in water. Mix all other ingredients in large bowl. Add water and form into a dough. Roll dough on floured surface 1/4 inch thick. Cut into shapes. Bake at 350 degrees 30 min or until brown.

Bow Wow Peanut Butter Cookies

2c. whole wheat flour, 1/2c. brewers yeast, 1/2c. powdered milk, 1/4c. veg. oil, 1c. water, 1c. rice or soy flour, 1/4c. wheat germ, 3/4c. peanut butter, 2 beaten eggs

Combine flours, yeast, wheat germ and milk. Cut in peanut butter. Add oil, eggs and water. Knead to form ball. Roll 1/4 inch thick on floured surface. Cut into shapes. Bake on ungreased pan at 325 degrees for14 min. Let harden over night. 3-5 dz.

Liver and Pumpkin Cookies

2 c liver puree (beef and/or chicken), 2 c canned pumpkin, 1c sweet potato puree, 1/2 c bacon grease, 1/8 tsp garlic powder, 1 egg, 1/2 c powdered milk, *2 c white flour, *2 1/2 c cornmeal, * 1 1/2 c ground oatmeal, *1 c whole wheat flour

Mix together all ingredients. Press between two 11x17 pans that are lightly greased and dusted with cornmeal. Cut into 1" squares. Prick each square with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. Turn off oven and let dry in oven over night. If still soft in the morning set the oven to 200 degrees and leave until dry. Bag cookies when cool and keep in freezer to keep them fresh.

*can use just 3 1/2 c white flour and 3 1/2 c of cornmeal. Other flours can also be used such as coconut or rice just so that you have at least 7 c of dry ingredients.

Fish and Parmesan Cookies

12 oz cod, 2 eggs, 6 Tbsp bacon grease, *1 c white flour, *1/2 c ground oatmeal, *1 c whole wheat flour, *1/2 c cornmeal 1/4 c powdered milk, 1/4 c grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 tsp garlic powder.

Mix all ingredients together. Press onto 11x17 pan that is lightly greased and dusted with cornmeal. Cut into 1" squares and prick each square with a fork. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 min. Turn oven off and let cookies dry over night. If still moist in the morning turn oven to 200 degrees and leave cookies in until dry.

Optional: add a c of pumpkin and increase dry ingredients by 1/2 c.

*Can use any combo of dry ingredients as long as it comes out to 3 cups. (coconut flour, rice flour, etc)

Peanut Butter Bacon Biscuits

2 pieces of cooked bacon ground, 2 Tbsp bacon grease, 2 c whole wheat flour, 1/4 c ground oatmeal, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 c peanut butter, 1 egg, 3/4 c water

Mix all ingredients together, press on parchment covered 9x13 pan. Cut into 1" squares and prick each square with a fork. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 min. Turn off oven and let set over night to dry, If not dry in the morning you can turn oven to 200 degrees until biscuits are dry.

Cricket's Nut Butter Doggie Biscuits

1 c uncooked oatmeal, 1/3 c butter, 1 1/2 c hot water, 3/4 c cornmeal, 3/4 c powdered milk, 2 beaten eggs, 3 c flour (whole wheat, white or mixture), 1/2 c nut butter (creamy or chunky).

In a bowl pour hot water over oatmeal, butter and nut butter. Stir together and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in powdered milk, cornmeal and eggs. Add flour 1/2 c at a time, mixing well after each addition. Knead 3 to 4 minutes, adding more flour if neccessary to make a very stiff dough. Pat or roll dough to 1/2 inch thick and cut into chapes. Bake at 325 degress for about 50 min. Allow to cool and dry out until hard.
